Not only that, but like... dude. If you had just written long hair, that's one thing. It's a person's preference, but like... saying it's not manly to have long hair? Not only is that not relevant to being a "Turn off" but it's inaccurate to say "You are a man. Keep your hair trimmed". That's insinuating that any dude WITH long hair isn't a man, or is trying to be unmanly? Hell no, dude. Long Hair on dudes is a style that's been around for a long ass time. Plenty of manly men have had their hair long too. In some cultures it IS a symbol of manliness. Just sayin.

Like I said, I understand people not liking long hair on guys. I really couldn't give a shit about that. That's your choice, your preference, all that stuff. It's just the other stuff is just basically saying short hair means manly. Definitely not.

    -Douchebaggery/bitchiness
-Athletics. I just wont be able to stand hearing about whatever sport you play or whatever sport you love for forever. And I definitely wouldn't want to go to your games.
-Musical ignorance. Example: "I only listen to hip hop and rap." "I like all music except country and rap and screamo."
-Shallowness/superficiality. I really dont care what you look like.
-The exception to what I said above: I care if you have really stupid tattoos in publicly visible areas.
    -Heavy drinking.
    -Insensitivity.
-Close-minded on things like other religions, vegetarianism, smoking, blahblahblah. A nice liberal would be lovely.
-"Come on, just have some steak. Its just steak. Being a vegetarian is stupid."
-Excessive use of the words "like" "yeah" and anything a douchebag would say like "bro" or "dude".
-Inability to carry on a conversation.
-Lack of a sense of humor.
-Inability to comprehend sarcasm and irony.
    -Stupidity.
    -Giant egos.
    -Attention-seeking.

I agree with this. If men were meant to have short hair, then why were we born with the capability to grow just as long of hair as women?

That is not "musical ignorance"; that is exclusivity, which would most likely stem from an exact opposite of the former. There is nothing "ignorant" about disliking modern-day country.

You all have no right to attack me. I think less of men who have girly hair...So what? It doesn't affect you in any way, shape or form. Oh..And conservative views? Perfectly legit reason to write someone off.

You weren't attacked because you think less of men with "girly" hair; in fact, you weren't attacked at all, but I'll address the other point. What you said verbatim was, "you are a man. keep your hair trimed!!" In other words, you said that having long hair makes a man less of a man. I think what Shevanel meant was that you should not assume that your definition of masculinity is universal, because it isn't. It's fine to prefer guys with short hair, and yes, we would have no right to object to your post if you had shared it in a way that didn't attack long-haired men. However, by implying that having long hair somehow makes a man less of a man, you made an attack against them, which is why your post was offensive to us betressed men.

Also, if I interpreted his post correctly, midwestblues wasn't implying that conservative views are a bad reason to "write someone off"; he was implying that thinking that a man should keep his hair short, or else he isn't a man, is a conservative viewpoint (which it is), and thus you yourself embody one of your turn-offs.

You must not be familiar with the word "cohesive". I won't bother countering your most recent hypocritical spew if you weren't even able to comprehend my three-word rebuttal to your first, lest it all become too much for you.

Hey now, let's not turn this into a barrage personal attacks; that's how threads get shut down. When it comes to disagreements, if you can't say anything constructive, don't say anything at all.

I meant not giving anything a chance. Like, not giving it a chance ever. People who say that they hate something without even listening to it. Or just being stupid about music. I take music seriously.

Seems like most turn offs are more non-physical attributes. I can see that. My "offs" in no particular order would be:
    -- irresponsible (financially and otherwise)
    -- gossips
    -- always chewing/sucking on gum/candy
    -- pretentious
    -- oblivious
