What’s your unpopular opinion?

the thing that bugs me personally is that most people of the biggest religious denominations in the western world (christians, mainly) wouldn't be NEARLY as hateful if they actually read their holy book and took it to heart. I was raised christian, and it's baffling to me that people get "people different from us are sinners, and should thusly be punished" out of it. The whole point of Jesus' teachings to me is that you shouldn't make these value judgements on people, and you should love and forgive everyone, regardless of race, creed, sex, sexuality, or any other manner of differences. The people who ignore that message and just use faith to spread hate make it impossible for reasonable, progressive people to be a part of a religion or faith without being lumped in with the bigots who falsely preach their gospel of hate, claiming it's what their god would want when that's so clearly not true

 

Yeah, I formed an opinion based on looks. Rand Paul just bugs me. I didn't know much about him. I read his bio and decided that not liking him made even more sense.

 

Too many people drink too much. They don’t notice because everyone around them is the same, but since I don’t like alcohol and don’t drink, I’m occasionally the only sober person in the room. I notice things. I’m also bored, my kindle app is a lifesaver. They act like having a hangover the next day is an achievement and not a sign you shouldn’t have drunk that much.

We all want to believe we are right, and that truth is on our side. I just think we’d be much more empathetic if we realized the above may be the only real truth.

 

If you fetish over someone or something about them, and they react by having a fetish right back at you and reciprocating, it's all good.

Here's my unpopular opinion: I think there's a serious lack of serious concern for continuity or canon in movies or TV shows these days. Too many retcons and decisions are freaking screwing up the narratives of beloved Franchises that aren't being taken seriously or haven't been brought up enough to the Creatives/Executives. People are just too willing to go along with the entertainment they're presented with without taking a serious critical look at it.

 

I agree that has happened with some shows like Dr Who, and LOTR: The Rings of Power, but I quite liked it with Star Trek Discovery, I found it enjoyable.

 

Here's another Unpopular Opinion, Musical Edition: Wicked is getting adapted from the stage into 2 Movies when other Stage Shows have only gotten 1 movie to adapt their shows into. Therefore in an effort to keep everyone else in the Broadway and West End Community from feeling slighted, and that the Wicked people aren't special, all further Staged Musicals adaptations should be given two movies to give a faithful adaptation of the source material. Either it's one movie per Musical or everyone gets two movies to themselves.

Spicy food is overrated, burning sensation is not a good thing food shouldn’t hurt. Most likely it’ll burn coming out too. Also messy rooms aren’t dirty it’s just easier to find everything,

 

artists like Hayley Kiyoko, Phoebe Bridgers, and Girl In Red are overrated. Their music is kind of boring to me ‍♀️

 

I enjoy raw chilly rainy days as well as snowstorms in the winter. I strongly dislike summer weather and don’t understand the appeal.
