Oh my, everyone's so enthusiastic! I'm glad so many of you are showing interest in this. ^_^ As for having a copy of the video, yes I believe that would definitely be possible. ^_^ This is so exciting. 8D
Well Here is the Sample Video. was it something like that you was wanting?(speaking wise?)
Yes, that's very good. Seeing it on video though, it does seem a bit short. (29 seconds) But I think it will be better once we get them all put together. Thank you for posting that. ^_^
As Choucho has said, it is a bit short? More words perhaps? Still, aside from that, I like the concept, and I can see it being great when completed. Good job Grof!
I had to laugh when I saw this - but I'm sure Becky wasn't actually enthusing about wearing a paper bag! (Sorry Becky - just my weird sense of humour )
lol i just got that lol good catch yea it was kinda of short and i kinda rush it but it all dont have to be said like right after each other it can be delay and add some background music =)
For a video like this to actually sound and look pleasing, there has to be some continuity in it; otherwise it will be a bunch of voices laced together. We need to decide how everyone will be positioned in the frame, how far they will be from the camera, what the background will be, lighting etc. Also, we need to make sure there is no background noise in the video clips members send in, since from experience it will ruin the effect. Just a suggestion... Thanks for the welcome onto the forum by the way. Coucho, you may take credit from turning a lurker into a poster.
Alabastair definitely has a point, and the right mindset going into a project like this. I am a project manager producing a trailer for my class right now, with 4 people working under me. I understand how the entire pipeline unfolds so if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Hmmm... I wonder what kind of background would be best.. im sure i could just stick up a cream colored curtain behind moi ? so that its just one colour behind us. that would make it seem a bit less messy...
I think for now Choucho is just looking for a general idea on who wishes to particpate. After the deadline i will be quizzing him about these things, and any suggestions will be welcome. I think a dark background would be dramatic. Something that gives the feeling of being trapped. Anyways, i'm sure Choucho can give you some info on what he had planned.
I think this videos a good example of one thing we could do. A tune in the background or something pulls it together quite well... i think....
Haha, Ty, good suggestion. I should've thought of that ._. Anyhoo, I think it works best if we say different things; because there's nowhere in the world we can all like, meet and make the same background for like, everyone. Not sure, maybe you elaborate on one of the things that Choucho said? [Still, just a suggestion] [:
I know, however, (correct me if I'm being way too unrealistic) that if everyone stuck to a similar background of a solid colored wall (or maybe even more specifically a grey, light brown, creme, or white one) that it would have more continuity. *shrugs* Wow, my third post and I've already come off as bossy. I'm sorry.
Not bossy, i think its a very good point. Video-ers shouldn't have too much trouble finding a nice solid background color, like you suggested. like hanging some old curtains or bedcovers behind you or something.
Ohh I would love to help out guys. But I don't have a camera. I suppose I could use my phone and then send it to someone from ec? OH I had another idea. My picture camera has video but no sound capability, so if there are other people out there, what if I wrote each word on a peice of paper and held it up to get the message across that way? would that work?
Fred, I think accents would add alot of dimension to the video. In fact, I think we should include alot of accents. What a strong and powerful message that we are sending out that gay people live in every corner of our world and need support and courage in coming out!
