I celebrate Valentines Day by sitting at home and wanking.

    Its tradition.

I'm not single during it for once and it proves that I wasn't just bitter when I said I hated it.
My boyfriend apologized for not doing anything today and I was like, "Meh".

    I love Valentine's day!

I've been single for 21 years, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. Anytime there's a special feeling in the air I'm happy. However, I think any other day of the year is just as good for telling someone you love them.

Lol, Sunsetting. I used to go off on how I thought Valentine's Day was ridiculous and you shouldn't feel pressured to make a big gesture just because everyone else does, but I've changed my mind as I've gotten older. I think it's nice to have a day when people can remember to express their love to each other when they may have settled into a routine where they don't regularly do that. Plus, it can be fun. So long as you don't try to go to a restaurant. But, I'm single this year -- just had a party with friends and their kids with my kids.
Plus, I taught a Valentine's unit in Sunday school this week, and it's a good opportunity to teach kids about love and have fun.

Oh, and I thought it was pretty cool that in Houston we have (for ten years) gay couples who apply for marriage licenses on Valentine's Day in protest of the lack of marriage equality and demonstrate. Our mayor is involved too, and she's super supportive of the gay community.
