    Hello,

If I give my child all their vaccines at the right times (according to NHS UK), are they still protected from the disease/virus that they intend to protect even if others around them aren't vaccinated?

Also, my dad cannot have the vaccines as he is allergic to some of the ingredients. However, he has had the mumps and scarlet fever. Is my child safe as a baby that is not of age to yet have their vaccines?

    I couldn't find anything online.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There’s some information about how vaccines work from the NHS here.

For any specific questions, I would suggest getting in touch with your health visitor or giving your GP surgery a call.
