    Oh no!!! That's terrible! Did they give any indication as to why?

    I'm really sorry Fred. Never say never though... denied this time, but maybe next time - under different circumstances, you'll be able to visit. Don't let it get you down.

    Do you know what your other options are? When you can re-apply, other ways to get into the country, anything?

    I can re-apply, but my friend Jim would have to come to Uruguay before (thus spending twice as much money).

    Basically they didn't give it to me because I hadn't met Jim in person. (The purpose of the trip was meeting... so you see...)

    That's terrible, and I feel so bad for you. I'm sure there will be another way for you to fulfil your dream, and I hope that you find that way as soon as possible. Good luck, and Im sure you will get there eventually
