Was any body here ever being to a Turkish bathhouse and if so what was your experience like? I just looking for some advice. I would like to go to a Turkish bathhouse to see what it like.
Are you confusing a Turkish bath house with a bath house? The first is culturally Turkish. The second is a place that men go to for sex.
In istanabul The men and woman are separated. in the male side, you are naked and you are in a communal area and you are washed by a young man, who is wearing some kind of loin cloth but he is coved up. This young man also gives you a massage. If your are easily aroused you will be aroused. I have used this analogy when describing the Turkish bath house with straight friends. “ if you were questioning your sexuality, go to a Turkish bath house In Turkey and if you don’t get aroused you are definitely not gay” If found the whole process in the baths very sensual
What happens in the womens' section? And anyway why did Turkish Baths develop? Was it a social thing? Was it something that began around the same time as Roman Baths?
I must add no sexual acts occurred at the baths I attended, I would imagine the Roman baths would have been similar, In the woman’s section it would be the same as the male side. I would recommend a visit to the bath house if you get a chance to visit Turkey, it is very nice, ivisted the baths every second day I was in Turkey
