Wow Yossarian! That's some strong views on how politics works. For all of our sakes, I hope that's not right

 

The Koch brothers say they are going to spend ~$900 million on the 2016 elections at all levels, to buy the politicians they want; pocket change, with their assets of $80+ Billion. Can there be any serious doubt that that is how politics works, after the Citizens United Supreme Court decision? They aren't even bothering to hide their intentions; they don't need to; they had the SC give them the interpretation of the law they wanted, the right to unlimited spending in influencing the election as "free speech" from their $80 Billion megaphone.

You are of course free, to spend unlimited amounts countering their influence; how big is your megaphone; how fast is your jet; how much did you promise to spend; how many politicians came to see you looking for money and promising to support your positions; how much can you spend on electing politicians to push back against their anti-gay agenda?

Politics is the real world, not what we wish the world is; elections have consequences; money talks; that's the kind of "speech" the SC legalized.

 

Well, I am sure George Soros is doing the same thing!
