It was just announced, Mills County is under a tornado warning.

The radar is predicting the storm to go right through Glenwood. Normally, I wouldn't worry, but with Parkersburg I'm freaking out.

Some woman came into our drive way to tell us that there was supposedly a tornado in Bartlett. And channel 3 is talking about a possible tornado in Plattsmouth, just aways across the river from us.

They're ordering us to take cover...so I'll probably be headed to the basement soon.

    Stay safe, then.

I live in Tornado Alley up in Dallas, so this kinda happens a lot . . . I got used to it. A month ago the school administration made everyone sit in the dorm's first floor hallway for 2 hours while tornadoes went by nearby. :/

The storm ended up going south of us. A tornado was reported three miles south of town, but there doesn't appear to be any damage. All we got was a ton of rain.

Channel three is showing a city-cam from Lincoln. The skies to the north are pitch black. There is going to be some serious damage out there. And, its headed towards Omaha and ME. NOT good.

Damn. Sarpy under tornado warning again. We're going to be in one too again in a bit....

Corning being hit by a tornado as I write this.....

    So freaking scary

It gets worse, Bran. All the forecasts I've read say that tomorrow (Thursday) will be more prone to severe weather than today.

We had a bunch of tornado warnings on the east part of the state, but nothing here in town.

When you got tornado warning you should grab 3 important thing and hide,

    1. Laptop

    2. Porno(as many as you can carry)

    3. Bit of food and water

I don't think Adelaide has had a tornado since I've grown up here, nor do I believe there has been that many in history. I know there was a terrible one in Darwin on Christmas Eve 1974; Cyclone Tracy which wiped out a lot of houses, but I think Australia is pretty lucky, generally when it comes to extreme weather

I really hope you guys are alright over there in Tornado Land and that they bypass your places

I'd be mega freaked out with tornadoes. >.< Do tornadoes only happen in certain areas of America or do they appear anywhere?

They are most common in the Midwest, but the south has had quite a few this year.

Anyways, an update on last night. The big scary storm ended up weakening before it got to Omaha, so all we got was rain. A TON of rain. Like 5 or 6 inches. All this morning I was down helping at a friend's grandma's house to dry out her basement because it flooded last night.

Unfortunately, it looks like it is going to be another bad night of storms tonight, with a LOT more rain. Thankfully we live on top of a hill, so we won't get flooded.

Here is a link to some pictures of the flooding in Corning. This is (or was?) Adams County Speedway.
