Tom Daley...

As an older person (I am 46) this story is important for one reason. A lot of people have struggled over many years to make it possible for young people like Tom - and maybe like you - to be able to be open about their true nature in a way we were unable to be when we were Tom's age. I am proud of all the people who fought in big ways and little ways to make society change. And it is working, slowly, yes. But it is getting better. Believe me, in the twenty seven years since I was 19, it has got one hell of a lot better. At least in the UK.
