    Agreed, they're both good, but there's no doubt, Lovecraft beats Poe every time in my opinion.

    (Huh. I guess it depends, as I see them as very different. Poe's best stories strike me as twisted, demented love stories; Lovecraft has a lot more of the out and out supernatural, so it's hard for me to compare, as the genres seem different, in many ways.)
