Dancing on the Edge by Han Nolan
It's a little difficult to summarize, but this book is basically about a girl who is raised by her psychic grandmother, going through and experiencing many things as she goes on a quest to find her missing father.

I haven't read it, and based on that summary alone, I'd probably look for something else to read. But who knows...

    Watership Down
    -written by Richard Adams

A single rabbit with extra-sensory perception urges his brother and friends to leave their doomed home in order to find a safer place to live. On their journey, they accidentally join a cult, finally find a legit place only to come to the realization they've got no means of replenishing their population, make friends with a sea bird, sneak into a fascist warren only to break out and take some 'traitors' with them, have a battle with fascist leader to the death, get saved by a dog, and eventually everyone lives happily ever after. Until they die.

I've never read it! The film was quite disturbing (haven't watched it in multiple years though, maybe I'll understand it more now)

The Secret History by Donna Tartt
It's narrated by 28 year old Richard Papen, who describes it as the only story he'll ever be able to tell. He arrives at Hampden College, New England and is quickly seduced by a group of glamorous, self-assured, rich classics students. But as he gets closer to them, he learns of an incident involving the recreation of an ancient Greek rite that ended in a murder, and gets pulled further into the groups' messes.

(That could have been worded better, I can't possibly do this book justice)

The End Specialist by Drew Magary
Humanity finds the cure to ageing and soon people are able to become immortal (they can still die from injuries). The main character tells us his life story and how his and other people's immortality affects their attitudes towards life, love, work, etc. and how people deal with an ever-increasing population, shortage of resources, and crammed hospitals.
