I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend for a while, but since she lives halfway across the country, I have to mail her Christmas present. My family doesn't support my not-being-straight OR long distance relationships, so they have no idea that I have a girlfriend, or that I've been dating her for over half the year now. So, among sending Christmas presents to my friends across the country/globe, I'm going to have to mention how I've never mentioned "this girl from Virginia".

So I'm wondering if I should pass her off as "another friend that I haven't told you about" or just outright tell her that I've been in this relationship. Can I get any opinions? Advice?

    Thanks.

Are you old enough to drive yourself?

If they don't approve, then I wouldn't bother them with it.

It doesn't cost that much to mail.
