Lied vom Scheitern lyrics + English translation

This song really gets to me. I can't say I have the attitude in the song but I wish I did. It's all about being yourself, except it's not all glurgy about it like some songs are. (I guess it's better if you know German as the translation reads kind of strangely but my German isn't good enough to do another one.) The video is linked at the bottom and is totally unrelated but pretty funny.

I literally have a whole playlist titled "Songs that Speak to Me"-- it's like this thread was made for me!

As you can see, I like a little bit of everything

I listen to a lot of twenty one pilots.

A few of the ones that hit me the hardest are "Fake you Out" "Ode to Sleep" and "Guns for Hands" I really relate to them because they are about self harm, suicide and stuff and the band tries to relate to everyone who has been through all that stuff in their songs. So me.

2 that have always stood out for me are "Building A Mystery" by Sarah McLachlan. The lyrics are like a puzzle on first listen but the more and more I listen to the song I relate to it in so many ways and the other would be "Gone Away" by The Offspring which I listen to whenever I am thinking of my late mother. the lyrics hit me now more than they did back in 1997 when the song first came out.The song is all about loss and coping with it the best you can and it is such a powerful song

Let Down by Radiohead, it's pretty sad and it reminds me a ton of "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka, which just pushes it over the depressing edge.

People as Places as People, Life Like Weeds, and Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset are all songs by Modest Mouse which I connected with; among many others. The lyrics on Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset really struck me, because at the time it was what I was thinking and feeling in song form.

There ain't a song to identify me but when the BS becomes too much, the only thing that helps me relax and later calmly deal with the BS is making my own music on my computer. Here are 4 of my best songs which are also my favorite and I'm listening to them at the moment.

Die Ärzte (and Farin Urlaub as solo) have really strange videos but they always make me laugh. Farin Urlaub - Dusche is another funny video and song.

I listen to almost every genre out there but hip-hop is has gotten me through some truly awful times in my life, it is my coping music.

As depressing as it is, Hollywood Undead's "Bullet" is one of the most intense songs I identify with, and it leaves me with a weird "warm and fuzzy" feeling when I hear it in retrospect.
