Last night: getting into bed between freshly laundered sheets. Ahhhh!
A cup of tea. Always a cup of tea. If things are particularly difficult, then a couple of biscuits too.
I also agree with you on the clean sheets.
Catching a rare Pokémon.
Giving my plants "a spa day" (getting dust off the leaves, cutting off the dead leaves, wiping the crud off the outside of the pots etc).
Reading a novel with a cup of tea or coffee within reach.
Tea - oh my goodness yes - there's never a bad time for a cup of tea. My love of tea is such that when one of my children, then very young and in pre-school, was asked about his father's job, said: "My daddy goes to work and he drinks his tea!"
Watching stray cats in the neighbourhood.
Fresh made donuts from a good bakery
Siting in the bed of my truck alone, watching the sun set over the lake and mountains while I eat a burrito
Washing the dishes and setting them out to drain properly (according to size, color and shape), while listening to my favorite playlist. It's seriously therapeutic.
Enjoying a nice peaceful shower. The act of washing all the nasty body gunk that's amassed, but also to feel renewed inside. At least for a little while anyway.
Clean sheets are awesome!
As much as I hate taking the sheets off and making the bed, I do like clean sheets and blankets lol. Can also second the shower comment
Tea - yup, definitely!
My cats have kept me sane over the past few months. They sleep, they eat, they play and occasionally they'll curl up on you and tell you that they love you.
And being amongst nature. There is a park nearby to where I live with some beautiful spreading oak trees. Just standing with them, under their shady canopy, knowing that they have survived war and seen the comings and goings of thousands and thousands of people is a beautiful reminder of nature's permanence and how small our own individual worries are at this moment. During the summer their fruit has grown and in a few weeks will fall. To save energy they'll shed their leaves and then come Spring the whole beautiful cycle will begin once more. In this darkest of years thinking about this comforts me in a small way.
Taking a shower then watching a movie umd my sof warm blankets.
A good book or some Modern Warefare on ps4. A Hot uninterrupted bath, cheesecake.
