    Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I only quit temporarily, I just couldn't continue at that moment when the brute suddenly smashed that door in, and the groaning... oh god the groaning.
    The ending was kinda weird though :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
    Never played MFP, heard some bad things about it.

    As a kid, House of the Dead. It's not that scary now.

    Resident Evil 4 is scary because of the guys with the bags over their heads and holding chainsaws...

    Low-hanging fruit but the original Silent Hill scared the crap out of me. Despite the underwhelming PS1 graphics. In fact I think it added to the experience, it's easier to be scared by something if it's hard to tell what you're looking at >_>

    Going more obscure, LSD Dream Emulator also scared the crap out of me. If you haven't heard of it there are Let's Plays of it on youtube, but you have to play it yourself to get the full effect.

    I think Doom on the PS1. Demons? Okay. People impaled squirming around? Whatever. The very maw of hell with fire and brimstone? Cool.

    CRUSHING CEILINGS and ACID? Gave me the creeps! I had nightmares about being crushed and drowning in acid. I played it when I was a kid. With that said we shouldn't let kids play such games. They might turn out like me.

    My friend said the LSD: Dream Emulator game on the PS1 might scare some people due to weirdness.

    Why has no one said resident evil 3?

    I practically jump out of my pants each damn time Nemesis busts through the wall, and even if I know he's coming he STILL freaks me out.

    Err..... Amnesia? The sound and art design, Lovecraftian atmosphere, and mysterious plot are just perfect and totally my thing but I just can't play more than say 30 minutes because it terrifies me.

    Beside the aforementioned, Silent Hill 2, and Resident Evil 2 and 3. Fatal Frame makes me cower.

    I tend to avoid them all together so I would have to say the walking dead game season 1. I'm easily scared in video games by just dark areas and the ocean.

    I'm going to stand out here and say Silent Hill(the first one) pop up horror doesn't get me. I'm terrified by psychohorrors and survival horror like Resident evil, silent hill, and eternal darkness.

    This free game called Vanish (which nobody's mentioned insofar) is a game so scary it made me cry, and I've played a lot of horror games. Seriously guys and gals, play it in the dark with your headphones cranked up.
