Errrmmm no. No crossdressing for me, please. This thing is as obsessed with crossdressing as Freud was with all yo mamas.

 

It's simple really. While there is still a lot to learn about the human brain, particularly in reference to gender and sex, we do know that biologically the male and female brain [unattached to gender identity] differ in certain ways.

Particular areas of the brain develop at different times, rates, and order between male and female individuals. Each person will, under normal circumstances, reach the same maturity, but at different rates. In some ways female mature before males, and yet in other areas males mature faster. It has been shown that male brains tend to develop much more rapidly in areas dealing with visuospatial processing. So for a test that helps one explore their own gender and sex, these kind of questions make a lot of sense.

As for my own test results. They were spot on minus my appearance. But there is little I can do about that at the moment.

 

I got a score of about 320, so in the androgyne range..

But I will say that I'm sure I just took all the GID tests I've taken previously, as well as the COGIATI about 3 times over.

Um. Completely incorrect. I actually consider myself more feminine. I just don't like sewing, I guess :/

 

Doing the test so far, just wanted to say the set up is awful. The answers go from mascluine decending into feminine. I'm trying to answer honestly, but after I worked that out on like question 4, I think it's gunna influence my results.. >_>. I'll post my results once I've done it.

Also it's really, really annoying to have people constantly judge English/English Lit or any Humanities subject as feminine. >_>. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AT COLLEGE /anger.

Ironicly I was better at Maths and Science through all my school period till year 10 where something happened to me (would rather not talk about it on a public forum). Ever since then, I've been more interested in English etc. Will the test factor that in? I know it's been scientificly proven that the way men think means they're better at more logical subjects (ergo maths/science) and the way women think means they're better at subjects like English... but the test is obviously gunna think the way I think is feminine because I prefer English, never mind the fact that the way I think is probably best described as more logical. (SATS test in first year of college, my results showed that my maths/science skills were far better than my English skills, despite doing all English based subjects at college.. >_>)

 

My results... Mostly agree with them.

 

Some of the questions are borderline offensive in the way they condescend women's mathematical abilities. Reminder, they experimented with this and found that if you give a bunch of male and female volunteers the same test, but say that "women generally do worse on this test", they'll end up doing worse. If you say that "women generally do better on this test", they end up doing better. The evidence for any difference in mathematical processing is entirely explained by social conditioning, as are most 'gendered' behaviors like sewing, wearing high heels and dresses, playing with dolls vs playing sports.

 

Apparently a lot of the people here are androgynous cross-dressers. Including me.
