If you got Microsoft Office Picture Manager, it's super easy to use:slight_smile:

Or you can download free software like iview.

It's so annoying to get that error message lol

In my photoshop, in the edit tool in the resize [image resize] box, you press the resample image button and it you can change the size there.

Yes, you need to resize it and/or change the amount of JPEG compression to make it within the image size and file size limits.

In Photoshop Elements there is a Save for Web option in the File menu which lets you choose from different compression presets and shows what the result will look like plus the file size. You can also change teh image size from there. I don't know whether the full PhotoShop has a similar feature, but I assume it would.

At least by editing it yourself you can get it to look good. The problem with automatic resizing is that you'd have no real control over how it looks.

If it's a photo it may be better to crop it closer to the main subject rather than just resizing.

If resizing make sure the height and width are resized by the same amount. Most software has an option on the resize dialog for that (in Photoshop Elements it is the "Constrain Proportions" tickbox, others may refer to it as aspect ratio or something).
