Last week the Board of Supervisors in Frederick County, VA voted to remove anti-discrimination and harassment protections for LGBT employees: https://www.winchesterstar.com/winc...cle_72fc175d-d48d-5877-ae37-6c24813c9815.html

THIS is why we need the Equality Act to pass, to put this conflict to rest. The Republican supervisors claimed they were worried about the policy conflicting with state law, but there are other localities in Virginia that provide protections to LGBT people. I think it's just a way for the homophobic officials to weasel their way out admitting their homophobia. Though that one Delegate Dave LaRock seemed pretty explicit in his hatred for gay and transgender people.
