I highly recommend that you read the Little Boy Lost series by JP Barnaby. It's a little over-dramatic at times and a couple things made me roll my eyes (you're telling me there's porn on the internet?!), but some of the characters are incredibly sweet and it's extremely hot.

There's a doctor who based tv show called class. It has a casually gay alien character in it that is treated equally as the other relationship. While it can be overly lovey-dovey at times (i can't kill a race of awful douchebags that destroy planets because it would riddle me with guilt and my gay lover would never respect me again wahhh) it is pretty good for watching. It shows the reality of being an immigrant in the uk, a highly nationalist country, and how ptsd and other illnesses can coincide with being a teenager. Good show. 7/10
