I totally agree with you there Rae. My law professor even said that had the cops been called & had responded, they would not have escorted the couple or their family off of the premises. Part of me wishes the cops had been called, perhaps then this minister would have found that the country & province he lives in doesn't allow him to discriminate against someone just because he disagrees with them. As for the manager, well, head he used some common sense, he probably wouldn't have said anything at all & told the minister where to go & how to get there. Looks like someone just lost their job/franchise. No way Timmies corporate office will allow this to pass...

Well, that's a bit better, but still, from my understanding of the incident, one kiss dos not equal inappropriate displays of affection. If they'd been hardcore making out & being obscene, that would be one thing, but the way it was made to sound, it sounded like it was one harmless kiss between a couple. Nothing inappropriate or obscene about that at all...

Uh huh...so took them three days to finally apologize? Or was it just because it was a Friday and now it's a Monday? :S

Revan, I have a funny feeling it isn't so much of an apology as it is damage control & spin on something they wished hadn't happened at all & are hoping to hell doesn't result in discrimination proceedings against them...

I was thinking the same thing Kiersten. That's generally what happens when something is published to the media.
