is it just me, or is the lack of sound effects or background music just a tad bit grating? I think a sparkle when you find and collect something would go along ways, and maybe a little bit of music in the background to reflect the story would add a nice bit of atmosphere.

Yeah a lot of people have said that, hopefully it's something they'll take into account and put onto the website eventually.

Yeah I think the big thing is like....I know we could all listen to music on youtube while playing but its like....why can't we get some sound effects and music. Hell why not while making potions you hear your wand making a sound like that electricity that appears. Or the potion if it doesn't work, you hear it bubble and then explode lol. Hell it'd at least make it more interesting...

really can't call pottermore multi-media if it leaves a whole media out of the equation.

Also... my want is 14 and a half inches, sycamore with phoenix feather core, slightly springy... I was happy with the length because the extra info on wands said that anything over 14 inches was considered unusual and rare.

Also was sorted into ravenclaw, but that was to be expected.

I got into Hufflepuff, much to my dismay.

I am too mean of a person to be in Hufflepuff! I've always indentified with Slytherin house, and the description of it. I was reading through the Hufflepuff description and thinking, "that's not me at all..."

I thought the questions weren't as...personality-based as I had hoped. Maybe it'll change come October? It is just the beta, after all.

I mean, it must have been good for some people, but most others that I've talked to felt that they were mis-sorted as well...

I'm in Slytherin. I, well so I kinda expected it after the answers I gave, but it still came as a bit of a shock. I always thought I'd end up in Ravenclaw, but deep down I knew I had sooo much in common with Voldemort. Still, I need some time to accept this... Saying I'm in Slytherin is like coming out...

My wand is 13,5 inches, Hawthorn, Dragon heartstring, unyielding.
I don't say I don't like it, but I expected something supple with unicorn hair, a tad longer and with some more special wood, like pear or ebony or silver lime. :R

Anyone else thinking of maybe when it opens to everyone, you might make a second profile, see if anything turns out the same?

Nope, I'm happy where I am to be honest. However it would be nice if we could access the extra information about the other houses we weren't sorted into.

I was sorted into Hufflepuff, and had very mixed feelings about it at first.

In every other quiz I've done, Ravenclaw has always prevailed (though it's worth noting it's usually neck and neck with Hufflepuff, but one question usually pushes ravenclaw forward just that little bit more). My initial reaction was "shit, the 'duffer' house, perhaps I'm not as clever as I thought."

I talked to quite a few people about it, and my boyfriend thinks that while I still hold some of the qualities prized by Ravenclaw house, he thinks that my general kindness and egalitarian nature just overtakes it a bit. (That was what he said, I wouldn't presume to say that about myself. Though I can vouch for not wishing harm on anyone :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

As for my wand, sycamore and unicorn hair, 10 3/4 inches! Hurrah

How can Pottermore make me wait weeks to get in, run up to diagon alley and then just not work for an hour? :tantrum:

Some ways I'm sad I didn't get phoenix feather because I've always seen myself as unique....but unicorn hair does sound like me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I hope dueling is up soon, i didn't get the chance to.

That sounds like me aswell. I usually got Gryffindor or Ravenclaw but I got sorted into Hufflepuff
