    I think the reason is that it actually isn't a real quote. It actually goes like this:

    Darth Vader: did Obi-Wan ever tell you what happened to your father?

    Luke: he told me enough! He told me you killed him.

    Darth Vader: No. I am your father.

    Then there's all the join the Dark side stuff.

    Not that it isn't a good quote, it's just if you're really technical it's not real. (I'm a star wars freak☺)

    Actually all that "join the dark side stuff" is just before these lines, after is Luke yelling NOOOOOOOO! That's not true.... THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Also that first line is "Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father..."

    OK thanks. But if I'm not mistaken he also says "Join me and together we will rule the galaxy as father and son" and that must be after that but thanks for your corrections.

    Oh, yeah that part is after I think. I was thinking of all that stuff he says about the power of the darkside before hand. Not that it matters and I don't mean to come off as rude I'm just a nerd and I really like that scene :slight_smile:.
