the only thing I ever could do was not really origami - we used to used chewing gum wrappers and fold a bunch of them a certain way to make a chain and then make rings, bracelets and necklaces out of them - cannot remember how but I remember doing it when I was a kid
I could learn. The closest I've made is paper airplanes. And LOTS of them. One of the games I imported from Japan came with a paper shuriken and handwritten thank you note from the seller. I wish I could make art out of Red Bull cans like some people do.
i USED to make ninja sters and those footballs but not anymore. my son has made 100 cranes, wants to do 1000. something about a wish?
I love origami ever since I got a book when i was very young, maybe ~5 years old. I used to go to the library and get origami books to try out new designs. I liked it so much I developed my own style kind of like kirigami using a piece of paper folded in half and cut with scissors, which I used to make a wide variety of animals. An example is here: http://emptyclosets.com/forum/members/31239-albums5221-picture41788.html
^That looks really nice. I used to make ninja stars, now I make paper boxes when I need them...and use them to throw away stuff.
