Really, what annoys me is this constant notion that the support of womens' right to choose means that a candidate is in favor of abortion. In most cases the candidate would rather decrease unwanted pregnancies than run around having abortions whenever convenient, but they still think the woman should have the last decision. I have been to a funeral or two myself, but that hardly means I support human death.
This is infuriating. How can a priest who is supposed to serve all make that decision. Apparently some priests like to take things into their own hands. Not so sure if God is going to look too kindly on it.
Wow-the whole "putting their souls at risk" part and the "divine law" part just anger me-but it's typical Christianity, especially Catholicism, in the middle ages they made people pay to get into heaven. Why the fuck do you think the Vatican is so rich? They're playing psycological warfare on people and it's just unfair. I would seriously question a church that denies me the right to my own opinion, nor the right to control my body (use of condoms can prevent abortions from being needed, but oh-wait, that's right, the pope condemns condoms, and has helped to spread AIDS all over Africa and eventually the world). Seriously bishop dude, your attitude is like SO 1358 (So what's next- burning Obama voters at the stake?). Get with the program.
