Hi everyone, my name is Paul and embarking on a new phase in my life as a gay man at 45! It has been a long time in coming but now I am here i feel nervous and anxious. I now live alone and feel very isolated. I am only out to a very few people but keen to make new friends in the LGBTQ community but don't know how. So I thought here might be a good start.

I left my wife and 3 children. I came out last February and moved out in November. I see my children regularly and have a good relationship with them. Living alone after 20 yrs being with ex hit me hard but I'm moving forward. It's tough like most of us find out, I have freedom but it comes at a price. You might want to start your own thread in the coming out later in life section. You will get alot of support. I joined the forum in September and post most days......if you ever want to talk more personally on here, you can post on the wall but you must have 10 posts I think first. It's a great forum and no subject is a taboo, I've learned alot!!
    Warm regards Jon

Thanks Jon, I really appreciate that and look forward to being ale to share more in time and develop some friendships. It is very lonely at times but I have no regrets in making the changes I have made in my life, though at a cost. Take care, Paul
