This is a place to post your new name if you're trans or genderqueer in some way.

As a boy, I'm Caleb William Andrew (I'd rater not post my given name or last name)

    What about you?

I haven't really decided on a first name...if I were to change I would ask my parents to give me a name. So for the time being I use the gender neutral version of my birth name. Dunno if I want to post that though. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

But I do think I would change my middle name to Niko, so there you go.

I picked the name Jennifer because it's what my mom would've named me if I'd been born a girl. Also I always thought Jenny was a cute name~
If I were to choose a middle name, it'd probably be Patricia after my grandma.

This is my given name. And I wouldn't change it. Used to think it was more of a girls name than guys.

    That suits me just fine.

I'm undecided if I want to add a middle name (is the middle name between the first one and the surname?). In fact, in Italy the most part of the people has only one name and one surname, thing that is different from the U.S.A. Having a middle name could make me feel more cosmopolitan and "international", because I feel like a citizen of the world, not a common italian. But, as I already said, I'm not sure about it because I'm a little lazy writing two names + surname when I have to sign

Lucy (What I would of been called if I was a Cis-Female
Sarah (What My sister wanted me to be called if I was a Cis-Female.
    and
Marceline: The Vampire Queen (the bit after Marceline is optional) :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Most people from north America don't sign their middle names.

It may sound weird, given both middle names sound like first names, but... that's how is anyways. Still, I love it. So hello all, my name is Rose, nice to meet you.

    Here's my long naming story:

My given name at birth was just plain William X*******, where the surname was that of my biological father. (Parents weren't married.) When I was about 4, Mum decided to change her legal surname to match mine, and offered me the chance to pick a middle name; I chose John.

When I was 7, she married a wonderful man, who legally adopted me, so I became William John Y******. Some time in high school, I allowed my peers to decide for me that I should be "Bill".

Many, many years later, I was briefly married. We hyphenated last names, and I was legally William John Z******-Y****** -- just long enough for us to have a daughter together. I was presented with two sets of names that my wife was deciding between: the names we gave our daughter, and "Hannah Rose". I like both sets of names, especially the "Rose" that didn't get used.

Fast-forward 18 or so years. I finally realize that I'm on the trans* spectrum. I don't know yet whether I'll eventually legally change my name. But I do know that I'd like a gender-neutral variant of what people call me now ("Bill"), and I want a female given and middle name so that I'll be ready if I do decide to legally change names. And I like "Rose" as a middle name.

Hence "Willow Rose" (or maybe "Willa," like Cather), Billie for short. I figure it won't be too hard for people to switch from "Bill" to "Billie".

    So, that's my story.
