I don't mean to be a butthole or anything, I know you guys work hard on EC and everything, especially with the new updates and all that but I noticed that EC has been getting a ton more members recently than in past years.. (I know, shoot me for being so oblivious haha) and I was just thought it would be interesting if there was a line graph or chart that we could gaze apon that would show the monthly joinings of EC. I just think it would be interesting for the EC community to see the progress that EC is making.

Plus, I like up and down charts.. like business statistics or w/e :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Just a suggestion, I guess it would take some work to make it, either by program or by microsoft paint idk.

Maybe you could give the monthly joinings information out and someone could make one? I mean.. I don't exactly have the technology for it but I'm determined to see a chart :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It wouldn't be too hard to make, I could count the amount of members who joined during the specific month and years if someone has a program to graph it, too lazy to graph it by hand XD And dun have microsoft office anymore :frowning2:

Correction. Here are the numbers, anyone care to use a graphing program to make a graph? =P The fluctuations look like they could be interesting on a line graph :astonished: (Esp. Jan 2008 XD)

Nice work Tim, that's very interesting.

Some good peaks in October and January. I think they were when changes were made over at *** and everyone there saw the age verification page with the link to EC again.

Google advertising was started around February or March 2007 I think, which if you ignore the two peaks is the start of a steady climb.

The same information is available in the vBulletin admin panel, which I have printed to PDF and attached. The format of your graph is much clearer though.

ehem... i hate to be the one to break up the momment seeing it's my job:eusa_doh:

(gosh why am I LIKE THIS!) ok, I think i am kinda like paralyzer :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: i am attracted to statistics but only difference is i am attracted to effective statistics.
    (no offence to anyone):eusa_naug

but i think noticing the lvl of registrations in EC are not as essential as recognising the number of "active EC users" because sure, having an expansion in the family is good...maybe, but the important thing is how many of these stakeholders find satisfaction in this product, in EC ....

    anyone care to illaborate?

It would certainly be interesting to see how many of the people who joined in each of those months were still active here maybe 3 months later. If someone has the time and inclination to look at the last activity dates of them all...

I think quite a lot of the extra people who joined in those two peak months were regular *** members who came here due to curiosity, so many of those have probably disappeared again.

I've been paying attention to how many active members we've had, from time to time.

When I joined EC in April 2007, we had just about 400 active members.

Exactly one year later, we had over 900. Now in June 2007, as you can see, we've got just over 1000.

    Hope that helps!

Active members is a good indication of how popular the site is.

    no no no, not popular:eusa_naug...effective.
Think of this site as a product, and think of us and *** as marketing tools. The number of users who join EC makes it popular...cuz that's showing the number of people who know EC.

buttt, the statistics of active members show how effective the product is; the level of demand we have on our target audience (gay, straight-bi-curious...troubled hetro/homophobic people:eusa_eh: if that makes sence) and wether the registerd stakeholders of EC are satisfied with the product.

that way, your happy cuz you have done ur job and we(the members of EC) are happy cuz we feel appriciated.

lawl:grin: and Mrs. Spence says i don't pay attention in her Business class
