Marriage vote is delayed in the Senate, not sure why. It was said by one of the key sponsors that they want the Assembly to go first. We need to voice our support for the Assembly for quick passage out of committee and brought to a floor vote. No excuses!

From what I understand, the vote is going to be very close - Democrats in both chambers acknowledge that getting the 21 votes necessary for passage may be harded than it should be. An Assembly vote would be very helpful...any of you who live in or have contacts in NJ, call and e-mail members of the State Senate and urge them to vote for final passage of this bill.

This is going to be very, very close.

NY cannot be blamed on the conservative Republicans...it was Democrats who killed the bill. What was especially galling is that several Democrats gave lip service to marriage equality and then voted the other way....it teaches us that nobody gets a free pass on GLBT issues anymore. You either demonstrate your commitment to our cause or you don't get our support.

    No more free rides.
