Well, Greece do need to do something about their critical issues, but re-inventing Nazism is NOT going to help!
These people who support this movement are utter idiots.

    Its all over Europe

France - Front National are a major party over there

UK - BNP are in decline thankfully, but UKIP are taking on the BNP stragglers as a far right party in a facade of decency. They are associated with homophobic and racist individuals.

Germany - Denazification failed somewhat since there are a number of Nazi groups still in existance

Poland (of all places) - Far Right epidemic over there, usually associated with football some teams refuse to play in Poland

Norway - Not much but a few dangerous individuals (Brevick)

Its a massive problem across Europe, in the UK at least its driven by immigration and to a lesser extent liberalization, some Tories are threatening to defect to UKIP over gay marriage, but its obvious that BNP Councillors are in areas of high unemployment and large minorities.

As awful as it seems alot of the problems are down to poor decisions by successive governments

I think that the popularity of this group is pretty much based on the current situation in the country. They always existed, as do similar parties all across Europe, they were not formed yesterday. But uneducated or politically misinformed people believe in them because they need to blame someone. Golden Dawn blames immigrants for the current economic situation in Greece and so do their followers, who simply cannot realize that immigration is definitely not the main issue in the country right now (though, honestly, Greece does have a serious issue with uncontrolled illegal immigration coming from Turkey the past 5 or so years, which the crisis has pronounced more, since all these immigirants cannot be incorporated in the social structures of the country because there are no funds allocated for that purpose after the crisis started).

I honestly hope that this party will return back to its hole or, even better, disappear forever, after the crisis is over. They have received a lot of negative attention, however they are the living proof that negative attention is better than no attention at all...

Right Wing extremism is different to left-wing do not get confused between the far left and Stalin. Stalin was an authoritarian and so most dictators are the clue is in the name. The far-left has evolved itself recently to 'democratise' itself and so have some of the far-right e.g. UKIP (who I class as far right). This Golden dawn is a far-right authoritarian revolutionary party who's racist, homophobic and Xenophobia.

The whole nationalism and benefits thing pisses me of SO MUCH. Xenophobia and racism on that kind of economic level seem to be so ingrained, and no one even so much as looks up when someone spews out some massive rant about their lack of a job being related to "all those bloody eastern europeans". Even the politicians are doing it, to some extent.
