I play games and watch anime. Just distracting myself from my physical self can help with body dysphoria. With social dysphoria, correct them, walk away or try to distract yourself with something silly.
Distraction is certainly the best but sometimes when we want something so much distraction doesn't work anymore. I myself am dating a trans man and he struggles heavily with his body and the best thing for him is to surround himself with supportive people and talk it out with someone or he goes out and buys men's clothing which is very large and doesn't pull on his binder. My female trans friend (pre-hormones and operations) used to go out and purchase large bras and stuff them with socks, it may sound silly but she would go out like this and feel very confident walking the streets. People are all very different and these strategies may have the opposite effect. Best Wishes -Bonnie<3
I most often go away for a while, maybe I'll go on EC a bit or listen to some music. Then I often go back and tell them that that's hurtful and they'll likely say sorry etc., and I'll feel better. Sometimes I try to 'nip it in the bud' by telling myself instantly that they don't mean anything by it etc., especially if it's kids. Anyways, good luck honey <3
