Need Advice About Parents

    Enigma, financial security and independence are not the issues, as you said. However, even us half-dead guys are concerned about the well-being of our parents. :slight_smile:. In some ways, the parent/child roles are now reversed.

    Ed, it is hard to recall exactly what my siblings said. They all said that it was obviously my call on whether to tell my parents and that they would support me. They said that my dad is very conservative, rigid, judgmental and from an entirely different generation. They asked if I was prepared for a potentially significant negative reaction from my dad, which may harm my relationship with him. They noted his age and health and that it is possible he does not have that many years left. They seemed to agree that if I told them, doing it in writing was the best approach, followed by sending the book.
