When I heard this song, I couldn't stop myself from crying, it's sad, yet beautiful at the same time.
Amy Lee (the singer) writes really sad but beautiful songs. I listen to Evanescence when I'm having a bad day because it's real and I can relate to how she might have felt when she wrote the song.
The funny part is Amy Lee doesn't like the song cause it reminds her of Ben Moody who wanted to make Evanescence into a Christian band.
Really? I didn't know that. I think that Evanescence should just be Evanescence and not try to be anything else because it's great just the way it is (I think).
i play piano and amy lee has been one of my biggest inspirations, i like the darker pieces the most but her playing and her voice are so beautiful!! my immortal great song by the way
Love this song, I used to be able to play it on the piano but I forgot, that was back in Middle School when i thought I was cool listening to Evanescence XD I do enjoy their stuff now though, just not as much. The solo in the radio version is pretty badass though, although really easy to play on the guitar, but still awesome.
Eh, I first heard this...three years ago?...and it was still just a song then. There was maybe a week where I loved and obsessed over Amy Lee, but now she and the band are just another drop in another wave for me.
I like that song. I used to love her stuff, but it's getting boring to listen to her. She's going Celtic for her next album so she get better.
Evanescence is one of my favorite bands. I absolutely love Amy Lee's voice, particularly in some of her lesser known songs (Anywhere, Solitude, The Last Song I'm Wasting on You). This song is nice, but I don't really think it's their best by far.
^Eargasm, you say? Listen around 2:40... I'm fairly sure that's four (count 'em, four) part harmony there. *dies*
Evanescence actually was originally a christian band, but yeah then they went along a different path. Like if you heard the song tourniquet, religious right there. Evanescence is my fav band and Amy Lee is a GODDESS omg her voice still makes me melt
