My high school GSA would like to make a film for the upcoming MLK Jr assembly. We also call it the diversity assembly and focus on not just the civil rights movement, but also current civil rights issues. We would like to make a short film to show at the assembly based on a true story. We were hoping to do something around homelessness since 40% of homeless teens are lgbtq. I was Wondering if anyone has a story of their own that they would be willing to share for us to base our film off of?
