Okay I forgot i had english homework, had to make a poem, so I quickly made one about gay-ness. though I should share, any advice would be great. (yeah, my teacher knows. shes an English teacher after all.) (I wasn't realy sure where to put this ) here it is: How long must we fight, before we are accepted, We aren’t unlike you but you still make us rejected You use the church and bible, to excuse your hating sneers But I don’t recall Jesus saying “kill those damn queers” Do you know what its like, to look inside and feel, Your God, father, and life, hates you for what he made you feel? And then still we must face the open violence and hatred from the mass? There is no excuse to that! How many children must die, before you realise that we can’t choose to be this thing? What kind of person, would choose to be mocked and live in such hating? I can’t understand how you can sit and hate, when perhaps your own child is meeting his fate. And all of this for irrational hate, that we did nothing to generate! From walking through your school to getting home, all you are exposed to Is the disapproving eyes, of people who are conditioned to hate, for no more reason than “that’s what my dad did to that fag when I was eight” Can we really live in a world where people still won’t act on logic, but rather primal fear? Fear of whats unknown, fear of something new How must longer must we fight? To keep our own kind safe, Safe from others, safe from themselves, How much longer, must we keep this up? When its your children, who will never wake up
Wow, that was beautiful! Especially the first part! Even though I prefer poems written in syllabic verse system, I liked it! Good job!
