    Hey, everyone!

I'm going to my first Pride Parade tomorrow and am very much looking forward to it. I'm going with my girlfriend and a huge group of friends, and we will actually be walking in it. I am very nervous though, because I have never been to any kind of Pride festival before; I had always wanted to, but I'm still pretty young and throughout my adolescence my parents never would have went for it (not due to any homophobia, I think, but because of safety concerns) and for my first few years of adulthood, well, it just wasn't in the cards. Now it is! But I have no real idea of what to expect. If anyone has any tips, pointers, or stories to tell me please share!

Some specifics that I would really like to know:
General etiquette that I should be aware of - Both for observing and walking in the parade
Safety tips for Pride events in a large city
Advice on how to make sure the group stays together \:
What I should expect to see / experience
What other people will be wearing & what I should wear ?
    Anything else lmao

I hope to go to a pride event soon myself in a few weeks and would be for the first time. So sorry can't offer advice, just make sure you look after each other and enjoy.

While I am unsure of parade etiquette... I will say:
Wear good comfy shoes, flip flops and sandals do not count.
Sun screen and a hat, especially if you are fair skinned or burn easy
Bring and drink lots of water
