    Here's some grunge for you all to enjoy ^^ true grunge can't be popular, because popularity defeats the original purpose of the genre. This is a great example of grunge without playing Nirvana, STP, etc. Was also my favorite song for a while.

    I love The Shins so much. They are my favourite band. I have been a fan of them for about 3 years. It really annoys me when people won't give some of these unheard bans a chance. I had it as my myspace song for awhile and I had a few complaints. I got onto them when I watched scrubs as their song was in the soundtrack to the first season. I get a lot of good songs from that show.

    I was really disappointed at my friend. I tried for ages to get him onto them, he wouldn't listen to any of the good songs I gave him. I think his mind was made up about them after he heard Pink Bullets when the teacher played it in class. A few months ago he watched "Garden State" which features New Slang by The Shins, after that film The Shins became his favourite band. It was really frustrating because though I don't mind the majority of the shins fans started to like them after watching Garden State, my friend had someone persistently trying to get him on the the band. And now he has gone out and and bought their latest album. It's good for the band b/c he usually illegally downloads songs but I feel like he trusts the tastes of Zach Braff over me. :frowning2: That's just one of my beefs, thanks if you read all that.

    Anyway here's New Slang by "The Shins" to Enjoy. It's not my favourite but I think it's probably the most popular

    Aaaallright! It's time...for the MELVINS!

    One of the fathers of grunge, they specifically tried to make even their fans hate them!

    They went to highschool with Kurt Colbain of Nirvana, and were his favorite band. Colbain tried out to join the Melvins as a guitarist, but he froze up :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: lucky thing, too, otherwise Nirvana would never have been!

    Excuse the intro. It's quite long. Also, yes, it's quite a slow song. There are very few fast-paced Melvins songs, and those that do exist usually have something put in the to ruin them ^^
