Moving to a different country

  1. kinda off topic lol, but house swapping happens quite a lot here lol. but im not sure if thats just a scotland thing and everyone trusts everyone. :s

    maybe you could do that if you live alone that is. it would certainly be easier than trying to find somewhere on your own. just a thought. :slight_smile:

    Where do you have in mind? Are you confined to the old commonwealth countries? If its English speaking places you're looking for maybe Singapore might be nice. English is one of the official languages and the culture is REALLY different.

    As for hong kong, it's very similar to Singapore: they're both ex-British colonies and they have a highly developed economy. But I'll place Singapore above HK because English is spoken by everyone in Singapore, whereas in HK Cantonese features much more heavily despite also having English as an official language.
