Is anyone else using this, and if so does anyone have any comments? I've used it from my phone a couple of times and it seems to work well.

I've tried, but my phone is a masterpiece of the horrid and I can't actually figure out how to activate the skin, the option to change skins isn't showing up on my phone.

It should be down at the bottom left where is probably says "Default Style". Select Mobile there instead.

It will look fairly horrible on a PC but it looks OK (albeit quite simplistic) on a mobile device.

They do offer a personalized skin for iphones too. perhaps look into that for iphone users.

To be honest, I don't like the skin much. My phone has a WVGA screen (800x480) and the text is obscenely small because of its high resolution.. For reference, it's a bit over 2x higher than the iPhone's (480x320).

I've attached some screenshots. The first 2 are how it turns out on my phone (zoomed in and out, respectively), and the third and fourth have been resized to fit the size of the screen (thereabouts). The last is how the desktop version looks (zoomed out), and though the desktop version is fairly easy to use on my phone, it's fairly annoying to have to load that much data, considering it can leave me with a fairly high phone bill if I go over my data quota (and NO even though Australia has the worlds fastest mobile network we don't have unlimited data plans).

I don't mind having to zoom in and out since it's just a double tab on the screen, but the mobile version's font is not nice to read both zoomed in and out.

By the way my phone is a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a.

I would take out the JavaScript AJAX mood functions towards the top of the source to speed up loading if I were the designer.

Also, you should try to edit the style in the admin panel so that the page numbers are spaced apart, otherwise instead of "11 12" it's "1112".

it is ok but I kinda like the normal mode for my ipod touch. although the announcement notices thing at the top is huge on there

EDIT: I would try it on my verizon phone but I am still unsure if my dad can access a history for it seeing as he pays the bills on it

You can't see your browsing history on your phone bill. Cell companies don't log it. The data usage will only show up ass "Data usage", etc.

I tested it today, on my phone, and a few things:

1st: it took forever and 7 days to scroll down to the option on the page
2nd: Even after I selected MOBILE, it never changed...

I tried logging in before selecting it as well.

as for the issue firecausesburns said, it didn't appear at first, but then I had to tell the phone to 'Hide page optimization' or something, it reloaded the page and it showed as normally as possible. but all I could see was the word 'DEFAULT' once I did that.

If it makes a difference, when I logged in on the phone, I had to click the link to redirct the page after logging in.

EDIT: BTW: this was done on a VX 5500 phone.

sorry to revive thread, but today I tried again to view it on my phone, and it still would not load the mobile. when I tried to switch to it, it reloaded to the Welcome screen as closely to the desktop as possible, and when I tried clicking on the 'Forum' button, it just would keep reloading that page.

anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew why it might be doing this, and if there were any updates on any previous issues that people have mentioned.

    thanks!

Cool! I know very little about the mobile skin really (it's an add-on I installed as-is apart from adding one link), so it's difficult to do much if it doesn't work. So I'm pleased it's behaving again for you now.
