What do you think of the following advertisement tactic opposing the upcoming vote to constitutionally ban marriage equality in MN? We know it's a tough decision for some people. In case you didn't know, you don't have to vote yes or no. "Just Leave it Blank" In MN, a blank answer to this question equals a NO vote. I think that little known fact could help some people who are on the fence. Based on what they've been told in church they think they should vote yes, but maybe they have a gay niece, nephew, neighbor, co-worker, etc who they know to be a good person and they would feel bad voting against their equality/happiness. So yea, it counts as a NO, but they didn't actually mark NO on the ballot and might find that as an acceptable compromise. Just Leave it Blank
I'm from MN myself, I might bring that up to some people since I actually didn't know that. Good advertisement tactic in my opinion.
This 8 yo boy from Minneapolis wrote this letter to "minnesotans" asking them to vote "no" on the same-sex marriage ban and it's really heart warming and cute and i can't get over this. Boy, 8, writes heartwarming gay marriage letter | Gay Star News
^That..is..the..CUTEST THING EVER! ♥ It's nice to know that some kids are on the right side. *ahem* Overly camp moment over.
At times I feel the same, other times I don't. Dealt with a bratty 10 year old back in high school when working at a McDick's and he comes up and in this totally snobbish fashion was like "hey did you wanna go shopping?" and it was in such a total "I know you're a faggot" type of tone...
Yes, very honest questions he has and the pro-discrimination types will never answer him honestly. Any other thoughts on the ad tactic of Just Leave it Blank to make it easier for those on the fence (and help us win, obviously)?
