I am probably an example of this as I am Left-Handed. But I am not sure about the hand thing so shall I see?
It appears we have the same approx finger lengths. Which according to the internet (I know who can trust that) says that I am a straight guy. Last time checked which was just this second in fact, I was gay and I don't see anything changing soon.
This is my right hand. I measured the digit ratio to be 1.03, which puts me at a higher ratio than about 99.5% of all men. (I figured that out from some statistics published in a paper). Whether or not digit ratio has any correlation with sexuality remains unknown. From the papers I read it appears to be a clearer trend in lesbians than in gay men. One thing the researchers DO agree on is that high digit ratios = low male hormone environment during months 3-4 of pregnancy. Whether or not these lower levels of hormones cause structural changes in the brain (and thus orientation differences) remains uncertain.
Well clearly you're lying to yourself. They wouldn't just put something WRONG on the internet, so you MUST be straight. Stop living a lie! I've accepted I'm somehow a lesbian, why can't you accept your hand-mandated heterosexuality!
I'm not sure if you're joking, but just in case. I would just view these as the majority of a certain Sexuality has a certain kind of Finger Length/Handedness. Not everybody necessarily needs a certain kind of Finger Length/Handedness to be a certain Sexuality.
I'm not sure if this has been posted before or not, but news: it has nothing to do with sexual orientation. It can lend clues but there are always exceptions. An average female has equal length index and ring fingers, if she was exposed to an average amount of estrogen in the womb. If she is exposed to more testosterone, her ring finger will be longer. Although most women experiencing this may end up being lesbians, I am a bio female and my ring finger is significantly longer than my index and I am (albeit romantically) attracted to men. (in fact, I am even averse to female relationships- obviously nothing against lesbians, but the idea of me, personally, being attracted to another girl? Nah) The reverse applies to men- if men have equal length ring and index fingers, or the index finger is longer, it simply means he was exposed to more estrogen in the womb. So it isn't an insta-give away. Just a cool thing to notice.
At first I thought it depended on how I placed and distanced my fingers from each other - when I put my hand on a flat surface, my ring finger is longer, but when I distance all my fingers, they are at the same lenght.. - but I actually mesured them and my ring finger is longer than my index finger. Oh and I also heard that a lot of gay people are left handed.. I am left handed.. haha That's weird. I feel like I pass all ''gay tests''. :roflmao:
