I've had my golden for 8 years, and the puppy, who is actually 2, came to us when she was 9 months old. All 4 of my family's' dogs are rescues.

Hello Fappi! Best thing that happened to me today was dropping off my 82 year old mom at the airport. She's been staying with me for the past 19 days - major crimpage on the lesbian lifestyle, considering she's the only person in my life who doesn't know I'm gay! If only I hadn't broken up with my GF while mom was here, I'd likely be having even more wonderful things happen tonight!

Oh well, I'm enjoying some much needed space and hoping you're all enjoying your own wonderful moments.

The best thing that happened to me today was finding out I have a little more money than what I thought which I have been stressing about since were moving in less than a week.

Aside from that I accomplished a lot- getting dog groomed, bathing two cats, talking to my girlfriend, getting all laundry done, cooking dinner, and moving all of my boxes into the other room

The best thing that happened to me today was that it was so cold outside that I was ordered to stay home all day. So I actually had a reason not to leave my house (it was literally a -30 degree windchill this morning).

What is the best thing that happened to you today?

I am going to be a bit more serious here, I had a session with my therapist today first one for three weeks as he had been on holiday.
I told him over the holidays I had finally come out to myself, not a surprise as I had mentioned being gay once or twice before! His response was just to smile back at me and say so it finally clicked then?
Result I am feeling relaxed and amazing.

I'm in! Tonight I got a last minute text that a bunch of friends were out celebrating someone's birthday. It was 8:15 and I was so not in that mental place, had a long to-do list ahead of me and had yet to get home from work. But the birthday girl is a sweet soul, so I went.

While there for my quick bday wishes & drink, I met someone new. Beautiful woman, big smile and good, fun, sense of humor. We were talking and she said (at least I think she said), "You're very pretty."

I was so shocked, I sputtered, then in the midst of asking her to repeat herself, stopped, realizing how awful that would be. But she went on to ask me if I'd ever be interested in going out to dinner with her and when I said yes, asked for my number.

Woot woot!!! (!)

Not only the best thing that happened to me today, probably the best thing that's happened to me so far this year!
