Latest and random photos and blogs

This is a bit of development code for something I am hoping to add to the new homepage in due course.

At the moment the presentation is basic and does not match anything on the site. It is coded to the point of getting it to work for now, and presentation will be sorted out as it is integrated into the site later. I may add some more features later too (I have a couple of things in mind but I won't say in case I can't make them work).

With the random photos and blogs if you click the relevant button again you get another random selection. All links should open in a new tab or window.

Although it is nowhere near finished, I thought some of you might like to play with it. I particularly like the random photos.

 

The next version, which I'm still working on, will also allow you to step through the photos 12 at a time from the Latest Photos option. So you can go from the latest right back to the first, 12 at a time. The same will apply to the blogs.

I'll post here when that's done (later this week, probably)

This allows you to step through the latest photos and blogs a page at a time. It also shows the members with highest post counts and posting rates.
