Well, I just sent the email to my immediate family, meaning my mom, my dad, and my sister. I've been planning this day for over a year now and I've never been this nervous now that it's finally here. But I sent the email, I've got a long day ahead of me, and I don't plan on looking at my email at all until this day is over. Thank you all for helping me since I came here. I will update as soon as I hear back from my family.
Well, I broke down and checked my email. My sister was the first to respond. She said it's okay, and that it doesn't change how she thinks or feels about me. My mom was the next to respond. She said that she feels bad that I went all those years without telling anyone, that my sexual orientation doesn't matter to her, and that she just wants me to live a happy and satisfying life. My dad hasn't responded yet, but I'll update again as soon as I hear back from him.
Okay, my dad responded to my email. He basically said that he feels the same as my mom and that he wants to support me in any way possible. So, yeah, I guess I'm out to my immediate family now. Once again, thank you for all the help and support you've given me since I came to this site.
Congrats :eusa_danc I'm happy your parents and sister accept you. I used email as well to come out to my parents
Haha, yeah, I noticed that just recently! Anyways, again, thank you all so much for all the support and encouragement!
