At least people know where Canada is. Some people think my country is somewhere in Australia. Hellooo, what does South Africa tell you? :tantrum:

I love Canada, and I think they have a unique role in the world, but alas, their similarity to, yet vastly smaller population than, the United States does diminish Canadian impact in world affairs.

As for this scandal, I read Canadian news sites, and I didn't even know about this scandal. I must have blown by it as I browsed the CBC's website.

I didn't hear about this, and I go to the CNN website regularly

and to the BBC one a little less so (about once a week)

I think Canada is hugely important, since I live closer to Toronto than to NYC...

this news is from last year... so that might be why you'll be hard pressed to find it font page today.

Haha, Tim Hortons is slowly expanding into the US, I think they're all way down to Virgina but haven't really gone westwards.

I love Canada and I mean that.

But I don't have the slightest who Bernier is and who he slept with...

Speaking of "Really that important?" A local transit bus driver pretended to club a fake seal at an anti-sealing protest and it somehow made at least national news.

TimHo's is well-entrenched in the Metro Detroit area, as well, and that doesn't hurt my feelings at all!

But yeah, if this is from last year, that explains why I'm not seeing anything about it now then...
