I always have trouble talking to girls. My anxiety kicks in and I lose confidence which I find really odd . Why? Because I don't even like girls as much as I do other guys and I have no trouble talking to boys. So why is it such a hard task to talk to girls. One reason I can think of is probably because I used to get the cold shoulder a lot but idk.
Hey Nero360, There is nothing wrong with you. Lots of guys have trouble talking to girls. Do you have someone specific in mind that you're interested in getting to know or is this just a general question?
Maybe it has something to do with you being a guy. What I mean is that once people hit puberty, girls and boys are often divided into two camps. Girls are often made out to be this kind of mystery that guys can't solve properly. Obviously that's a flawed way of seeing the whole thing, but you see that idea everywhere. So maybe it's just a question of overcoming that idea of girls as "other". And it might just take some practice. And no, there's definitely nothing wrong with you!
Nero360, Having trouble talking to people in general doesn't make you flawed. I have the hardest time talking to anybody, especially before I get to know them a little better (which is usually initiated by the other person). I guess I am a better actor than I thought, because most of the time I am acting out a conversation. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some girls may be resistant to talking because they might think your attention means something more. If you can spot a girl with similar interests, try striking up a conversation with her. Nothing helps better than having things in common. And don't stress. Even though it is disheartening now, often these are things that get better with time. Sebby45
