For some reas on this site is a good comfort at night. It helps keep my mind occupied when I can't sleep. But staring at this bright screen isn't making me any less alert. I need to sleeeeppp. I even been feeling over exhausted lately!!
Drinking a glass of milk works for me. When I was little I would warm it up to make it even more effective. There are lots of other things you could try, like reading a book before bed instead of using the computer. Or listening to some relaxing music.
I use this software that adjusts the brightness on my screen, at certain times: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.lux I think it took a day or two to get used to it, but it definitely helps me. I recommend the slow fade, because your eyes might string if the brightness changes too quickly.

My personal favorite is chamomile tea and a snack. (!) But whoa, this is a great idea :icon_bigg I'm totally trying this when school starts. I have awful sleep habits.
