Jelly? Okay, okay I had to do the pun. It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally on the stuff. Low dose. Very low dose. But even after a week, my body is already reacting pretty strongly to it. Skin clearing? Check. Breast development. Definite check. Being able to focus more? Check. My lower body seizing the means of fat redistribution? Check. And I'm also sometimes oddly... smellier than usual. There's been no jaundice so far, and aside from usual side pain, nothing to really worry about. I'm still pretty surprised that my body reacted this quickly to estradiol, when it took so freaking long for any of it to do anything for testosterone. It's almost like it was hungry for this stuff. Guess I got a little luckier? Here's to the first 6 months of it. Excited to see where I'll be with this when I start running out.
I'm so jelly , but congratulations on getting the gender gel. I didn't know it would make you focus more.
This sounds great I hope it keeps going so well! I learned something new today about this gel, very cool!
Thanks, everyone! Yeah, the better focusing is likely blood flow. What used to be further down is now back up in my head. I like it a lot better this way.
Ohhhh... my heart both overflows for you and yearns to join you! Goodness me, I'm so eager, so ready to start! But this isn't about me, this is about you! Congratulations on your success! Sincerely! Sending love and support! ^_^
I’m not ready to do that yet, but so want to be ready. I’m scared about how it will affect me, especially at my age. Are there others out there who started when they were over 70? Is it realistic to think I could actually make this change at my age?
70+?? I'm really not sure. I do know Susan Eddie Izzard has been on HRT for a hot minute now, but idk how much of a litmus test that is for you. I'm not exactly aware of trans men who started this late in the game. I would definitely ask your doctor, at least rule out the clear no-nos (for me it was pills and injections).
Thank Jinkies! I will definitely run it by my doc before I go there. Been working with her for almost a year and we have stayed away from that until she thinks it’s time. I want to be absolutely sure and not do it out of impatience. She wants to make sure I’m not moving too quickly before she’s write the script. I hope you continue to progress well. Stay in touch.
