Howdy : )

Hello all! My name's Nick, I'm 16, and I decided to come to Empty Closets to meet other lgbtq+ people my age and, if I'm able to, help them. No one deserves to feel like garbage, and since there are no LGBTQ+ groups around me, I figured this would be the next best thing.

Firstly, how did I get my username? Well I wanted to be "blackstar" (because Bowie is the best, which is a fact, not an opinion), but that was taken so I went with "whitestar" instead.

Secondly (and finally), what am I all about? Well I'm a writer of fantasy and horror stories, and am currently working on a fantasy novel that's going pretty well. My favorite books include The Grace of Kings, The Hunger Games, A Game of Thrones, 1984, and Twelve Years a Slave (though the last one is a memoir, so I don't know if it counts). I also love music, I sing in a choir and dabble in musical theater (though admitadly I am a tragically bad dancer). As far as other interests, my tastes seem to lay within the 80s. Aliens, ET, Star Wars, Blade Runner, The Breakfast Club, A Nightmare on Elm Street; a lot of my favorite movies are from that era. Same goes with musical artists; Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Prince, Sister Sledge, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Pet Shop Boys, The Human League, and, of course, David Bowie.
