So I've been searching for a job for awhile. One place near me has an opening, and they require applicants to physically come in and fill out an application. Because they are closed on weekends, I'm going in Monday.

Here's my question. How should I dress? I clearly won't dress like a slob, but if I wind up going in just to fill out an application, then a suit feels like a bit much. I just want to dress in a way that should they also do an interview the same day as I apply, I can look nice. I usually wear a suit to interviews but this, I'm not sure of.

Dress for the job. So dress similarly, or a little nicer than how the people who already work there dress.

That's the problem though. I've never actually been there before, just always passed the place when I'm out running errands, so I have no idea how the employees dress.

What about a nice dress shirt or button-up and some nice dress pants or jeans (that don't have holes or rips)?
Semi-formal might be a good option, I think if you look clean and don't go in in street clothes (t-shirt or graphic shirt) you should be fine.

Good luck on the application.

I think that sounds like the best option to me. Thank you! I hope I get the job.
